To ease the traffic flow, and to support the development of the Zuidas, IJburg and Oost areas, businesses and citizens need a new tram link from IJburg to Station Zuid/WTC. Both businesses and citizens could be interested in this initiative. Potentially thousands could benefit.
The advantage of this proposal is that it is comparably cheap to provide and the cost/benefit ratio should be attractive for investing into. If more IJburg islands are built the risk of doing nothing could mean further strain on the road links and more traffic delays. The new tram will also greatly reduce travel times, and provide alternatives when tunnels are closed. The population is set to grow, so let's plan now.
